We like collaborating with clients who respect and value good design, are long-term thinkers and prioritise quality construction and placemaking.

Morphipolis Architecture is a boutique architectural practice established in Poland, Europe.
We accept assignments in areas ranging from new construction and renovation to landscape design and town planning.

Our expertise lies in tackling complex projects with challenging site conditions around the world where, working together with our clients, local communities and consultants we use every opportunity to create distinctive, site specific and memorable designs that have the ambition to ultimately make life better for everyone.

Our work spans sectors from bespoke homes and multi-residential communities, through hospitality destinations, mixed-use landmarks, inspiring educational and sacred spaces, to transformative master plans that bring it all together.

What’s in a name?

The name Morphipolis is derived from two Greek words you may already recognise: morphe (shape, form) and polis (city). Together, they translate as “the shape of the city.”

More than just a name, it reflects our fascination with the city and all its complexities and contradictions — that endless vibrant tapestry of forms and contrasts, conversations and surprises.

We are proponents of a communicative and poetic architecture that celebrates local ambiguities and complexities, is sensitive to the cultural & construction traditions and the memories of the place, while challenging conventions and banality. Good architecture can foster local identity by creating places that people enjoy and love. Architecture can also help fight social isolation and alienation which in many cases can be directly attributed to bad urban planning and the homogenisation of our cities. If done correctly, architecture can be more than a mere physical materialisation of functional diagrams, norms and prosaic technological processes — architecture can add meaning and joy, it can engage with people and it can encourage multiple simultaneous readings.

Our approach is based on the belief that built environment inescapably influences human experiences, moods and well-being and it is our responsibility as architects to amplify the positive human emotions and to prevent architecture from becoming just a “background noise”, by designing buildings and places that provoke delight, harmony and timelessness.
